How to play, and what the fog is

You are blue. Each turn you give up to three orders: tap a region you hold, then tap a neighbour to move part of your force there (into empty ground to occupy, into red to attack), or scout a neighbour to learn its strength this turn. End the turn and red, a fixed rule player, answers; fights resolve where both sides stand.

You see the strength of your own regions; the owner of any region next to one you hold; a neighbour's strength only if you scouted it this turn or fought there. Everything else is fog. Red sees under the same rule.

Whoever falls to forty percent of their force in a fight breaks. After ten turns the side holding more value wins; losing every region loses at once.

The commitment does not hide anything from a player who reads their own browser. It binds the record: with the receipt, a third party can check that the fog held exactly what this page says it held.
